On the smaller-parts side we keep regular volume of ignition coils, spark plugs, fuel pumps, oxygen sensors, MAF sensors, radiators, water pumps, alternators, starter motors, headlight assemblies, side mirrors, door handles and tail lamps. The PB and GB share a large slice of their suspension geometry, so control arms, ball joints and tie rod ends often cross between the two — useful when a specific PB part is short.

For the newer BC3 we keep iMT clutch-by-wire components, Smartstream electronic water pumps, and the updated infotainment head units. The BC3 also introduced a different headlight connector and bumper mounting style, so always confirm year before ordering a front-end part. Known i20 Issues & Common Failures

Gamma Crankshaft Position Sensor Failure

Symptom: Intermittent no-start, cranking but no spark, stalling at idle and a P0335 or P0336 code — most common on PB-era cars and early GB units.

T-GDI Turbocharger Wear (N Line)

Symptom: On GB N Line and BC3 N Line, the T-GDI turbocharger shows reduced boost, oil consumption and increased exhaust smoke on neglected-oil-change cars.

D4FB CRDi DPF Blockage (Diesel PB)

Symptom: DPF warning light, reduced power and poor economy on city-driven D4FB CRDi diesel i20s — the short-run diesel option on the PB generation.
