The design and technical part of the Hyundai i30 is a new, third generation, developed by the European division of Hyundai. The car retained the old platform (with modifications), but received a more restrained exterior than the outgoing generation, and a completely new interior design. The wheelbase remained the same (2650 mm), the body height decreased by 15 mm (up to 1455 mm), but the remaining overall parameters increased: length – by 40 mm (to 4340 mm), width – by 15 mm (to 1795 mm).
The volume of the trunk ranges from 395 to 1301 liters, depending on the position of the rear seat backs.
The range of engines includes a 1.6-liter gasoline engine producing 128 hp. and a 1.4-liter 140 hp Gear boxes – 6-speed manual or automatic, 7-speed robotized with double clutch.
The new Hyundai i30 can be equipped with a multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging for smartphones. But one of the most important characteristics of the new model is the presence of an advanced security complex. It includes a “smart” cruise control (informing the driver about the signs of speed limit), a system of monitoring “blind zones” on the sides and rear of the car, an assistant to maintain the lane of the movement and an automatic braking function in emergency situations. It also includes an automatic head light switch and a driver attention control system.
