The second generation was introduced in 2009, but in most markets the model name was replaced by ix35. The car received more powerful and economical engines, improved security system, dimensions+.
The Hyundai ix35 is the successor to the first-generation Hyundai Tucson. The car was presented at the Motor Show in Frankfurt, September 3 2009 the year [2] .
The car is built on the same platform with the third-generation Kia Sportage. Since January 2010, the car in Europe has been manufactured by Kia Motors Slovakia, and since July 2011 – also by Hyundai plant in Nošovice ( Czech Republic ).
On the basis of the car, the Chinese company JAC Motors has created a model JAC S5 .
The ix35 heir to the third generation Hyundai Tucson debuted at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The models in 2013 have a new front optics, biksenon with daytime running lights, and the rear optics has changed. Changed rims. There was a new equipment – a system for changing the degree of effort on the steering wheel Flex Steer, heated steering wheel, front parking lights and a virtual dashboard with a diagonal of 4.2 inches.
ix 35 received a new petrol engine 2.0 with direct fuel injection. A five-speed “mechanic” or a six-speed “automatic” is installed in the pair to the engine. The diesel version has also changed, it has received an upgraded exhaust gas re-circulation system.
